Building Your Stay at Home Mom Job

Building a stay at home mom job can be very strategic. If you think it through you can build an empire of an online business. I want to share a couple of organizations and some background information on planning strategic management.

The great thing about marketing your stay at home mom job is that location is not limited to your specific proximity. Instead your marketing strategy should be more generic and focused on basic areas you are trying to target. Since the Internet craze of 1990s created opportunity to many entrepreneurs, what was referred to as the “new economy”. The rapid development of computer technology, both software and hardware has allowed companies to thrive in a driving force for entrepreneurs and the way business conducted. The expansion of the Internet has created many new business models and companies such as Amazon.com and Ebay. It has allowed “old economy” businesses new ways to reach customers such as the business to consumer model (B2C) as well as suppliers being being able to interact more efficiently using the business to business model (B2B).

Ralph S. Larsen, chairman and CEO of Johnson and Johnson says “The Internet is going to turn the way we do business upside down and for the better. From the most administrative functions, to operations, to marketing and sales, to supply chain relationships, to finance, to research and development, to customer relationships-no part of our business will remain untouched by this technological revolution.”

There are mainly two different forms of organizations to choose from when deciding to begin your new stay at home mom job, they are as follows:

  1. Sole Proprietorship – represents single ownership and offers the advantage of simplicity of decision making and low organizational and operating costs. Most small businesses with 1 to 10 employees are sole proprietor-ships.
  2. Partnership – two or more owners. Multiple ownership makes it more attainable to raise.
