I have wrote many posts in regards to how to become a successful stay at home mom, but all of them happen to fall under the same redundant topic….how can you become successful online by making money online. I have had my online business for over three years now and with each year I see my income increase. I have spent my time researching the most successful ways to make money online. I have implemented them into my website and have seen the success become reality. So I would like to share with you some of my ideas that I have used that allowed me to become a successful stay at home mom.

The first thing you need to figure out is what are your interests. This is so important because if you are not interested in the topic you are about to make a business development in, then you will find yourself drawing a blank. So many ideas need to stem from your online business like a tree grows new branches.

Begin with a sheet of paper and write down categories that come off the top of your head that spark your interest: shopping, crafting, couponing, etc. Next circle your top favorite categories. From there, start brainstorming about which ones you could really write about on and on and on like a tree branch. Once you narrow down your category to your most favorite you have just began the first step in the right direction on how to build a business online.

Your next step is to work on a website. I like using word press, which is the template for your web design as I have used on this website. It is free and is very user friendly. Play around with the web design so that the theme best represents the category you are portraying.

After you have your category and you have the theme of your web page design picked out you can then begin to add content to your website. The content can be anything of interest that you can give viewers knowledge or insight on. This will bring traffic to your web page by searching for keywords that appear within your content of your posts.

Once you have enough content you can begin to rank on search engines. The higher your ranking the more traffic. The more traffic, the more money your website will make. You can use google keywords search tools to determine what keywords to include in each of your posts that viewers are searching for.

HOW DO I GET STARTED BLOGGING?

Do you want to beat the recession and begin making hundreds or thousands a week from successful blogging? Do you want to earn an income and become a stay at home mom like I did? All you have to do is get started with successful blogging, put a little time into it and then let your computer do all of the work. I know you can do it. Let’s face it, there are many online businesses so you are probably wanting to know that if you start an online business, how you can be up there with the top dogs right? Well it is a little difficult, but don’t be discouraged, it IS doable. If you can win a customer over, by allowing them to put trust in you, you have just developed a partnership with them.

How do you build customer trust and loyalty?

Try to build a relationship within your website. Include a biography about yourself and what your mission is to serve them. Give them 100% satisfaction gauranteed. Give them a refund if not satisfied. Give them free shipping. All of these things will allow a customer to trust you and your product you are selling.  Remember that the source of competitive advantage is superior value creation. This means that whatever you are selling you must put all of your efforts into making sure that it meets or exceeds customer expectation. I believe that if you can build a great product, than you can sell online AND become successful as stay at home mom.

I live in a climate where there are four seasons and it definitely gets cold here in the winter. I look at ways to save on our heating bills and just want to share my thoughts on our Edenpure Heater. Right now our families 2nd source of heat is our Edenpure heater, first being propane. Our house in approximately 1,800 square feet and we like to keep our house at 70 degrees during the day, 65 at night. I get cold really easy so I am not willing to compensate my temperature. Anyways, as a stay at home mom I look for ways to budget our families heating bills because they can get outrageous. Our LP sources are limited and we actually get our fill ups at a local Amish country store so a 100 pound LP tank costs us around $50 a fill, which isn’t that great but reasonable for competitors in our area. I just recently bought our Edenpure Heater as a secondary source of heat to lessen our fuel bill. Our Edenpure Heater keeps the temperature at a maintained level of 70 degrees throughout the day. Our furnace runs a lot less and our electric went up a minimal amount. When I went through and calculated the difference we were ahead by using the Edenpure heater. Since I have little ones it really rest assured that they won’t get burned by touching the heater either. This heater is 100% energy efficient, has a temperature control, and a remote control in case you have a hard time bending over, just another convenience.

I am running the heater as we speak and my daughter is running around by it and I am happy that this heater will not burn her fragile skin. The Edenpure Heater that I am running is a GEN4 and I really like it.

Once you have your topic and you know it is popular, try to target an audience. For example, women and children, sports, baby care, homemade creations, natural healing, holistic living, weight loss etc. These are all topics that are popular and narrow down a target audience. Then develop a web page. Use a design that is simple and easy to read. Try keeping the colors to 2 or 3 so that visitors don’t get distracted. Than just focus on content, content, content! When you have an online business, content is the main thing you have to keep up on. I am still adding content to my website daily to keep it competitive and ranked. With the success of my stay at home job, I would like to offer the same key strategies that I used that lead me to success.  I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration majoring in Management along with three associate degrees. I first off want to tell you that I really enjoy my online business. It makes more money than any job that I have ever had and I get to do it in the comfort of my own home. The whole idea behind it is that I didn’t want to work my life away. I wanted to enjoy all of the little things that life has to offer. When I worked full time I felt I didn’t have any time to do the things that really made me feel happy. I wanted to spend more time with my daughter, I wanted to make her scrapbooks. I wanted to meet up with my friends for lunch and have our children have a play date. Working full time made it impossible to achieve such a thing.

When deciding to become a stay at home mom, you need to decide what kind of work makes you happy. Do you enjoy photography, proof reading, virtual assistant, taking surveys, mystery shopping, affiliate marketing, crafting, sewing. These are the things that I began to write down, things that I really enjoyed. Taking surveys are fun because you can do them at your convenience and they take anywhere from 15 -30 minutes and you paid to do them. Affiliate marketing is available every where you look. If you like to blog then you should look into affiliate marketing for specific products that you blog about. For instance, if you write a blog about weight loss than you should look up products like visalus who offer affiliate marketing programs. If you like to sell things on eBay then look into using eBay as an affiliate marketing tactic. If you blog about direct sales than maybe you might want to look into affiliate marketing for companies such as PartyLite, Simply Tasteful, Miche Bags, Tupperware, Scentsy, etc.

These are great examples of how you can get into making money online. If you put some thought into things that you truly love and desire than put your hands to work. You can succeed with a stay at home job and best of all you can become a stay at home mom!
