Stay at Home Mom Jobs
After the birth of my daughter I was determined to quite my job and become a stay at home mom. I didn’t like the thought of some0ne else raising my child. I kept thinking to myself what if I miss her first words, her first steps, her first smile, her first anything. I was not going to let a typical monday-friday 8-5 job ruin my chances of allowing me to stay at home with my little one. But in order to do so, I had to find an income source. So if you are in the same boat, I have some ideas that I have researched that will provide opportunities for jobs that allow you to be a stay at home with your little one.
- Virtual Assistant, a virtual assistant is an assistant that works for a company from their home. A virtual assistant would be nice for someone who could setup their own home office, there are many virtual assistant jobs available for stay at home moms and the income potential is between $25-$35/hour. Some job duties include: secretarial like services such as word processing, communication, marketing, website publishing, bookkeeping, etc. Qualifications include: ability to meet deadlines, computer and office skills, good communication, ability to become motivated and take the initiative.
- Freelance and professionals, if you enjoy proofreading or editing you contract work through professionals job duties: include ability to pay attention to close detail, marketing, Qualifications include: computer knowledge, microsoft knowledge, communication
- Childcare services, if you have 1 full time child you can get an average of $100.00/wk, thats $4,800/year. So if you have 4 children that you are watching full time your income potential is $19,200.00
- Sales rep for Mary Kay up to job duties include sales, communication, organization, bookkeeping
- Sales rep for Avon up to job duties include sales, communication, organization, bookkeeping
- Sales rep for Lia Sophia up to job duties include sales, communication, organization, bookkeeping
- Sales rep for Partylite job duties include sales, communication, organization, bookkeeping
I think that if you are really serious about becoming a stay at home mom but would like to have a source of income that any of these ideas are great places to give you the opportunity to allow you to stay at home. I know I was serious about staying home with my daughter. After the birth of my daughter I was granted a 12 week FMLA leave from work and everytime I even thougth about going back I would get this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I knew there had to be something out there that allowed me to become a stay at home mom.
Make Money Without a Job
There are so many ideas for making money without actually having a job that I have researched and gained some new insight on. The opportunity to make money is endless but I have a few good ideas to help your creativity:
- Sell on ebay, the income potential is unlimited here. I sell my clothes online all of the time and most of my clothes are from Maurices, I get about 1/2 of what I had originally paid for them
- Interior design consultant, many people love to decorate but don’t have a clue how to freshen up their space, if you have an eye for design this maybe something that you can advertise services for
- Pet sitting, if you like animals maybe you can offer pet sitting for friends, family or even advertise
- Crafts such as making purses (with or without a clutch), handbags, totes, magazine racks, blanket racks, or tie blankets…the idea is to sell them in bulk so make sure you have a good inventory and hit up a seat at the flea market so you can sell your products to a big audience
