Staying Home by Extreme Couponing

by Amy on May 14, 2011

Have you seen on TV on TLC the reality hit series  “Extreme Couponing”? Well,  I am assuming you have. There is so much hype going on about it, every time I go get a paper for the coupons they are almost out. The reality of the show is real, anyone can do but the kicker is you have to have time to do it and most of us have full time jobs.  So, my advice to you is figure out how much your grocery bill is a month. Then figure your monthly income less all expenses that you encounter with your job like daycare expenses, gas, eating out. Compare this number to your grocery bill number and see what comes out on top. Chances are that if you quite your full time job and rely on couponing as your full time job that you will probably come out way ahead. The little money that you probably make combined with your grocery bill can be less beneficial than if you just stayed home with your little ones and couponed. My biggest advice is to watch the show Extreme Couponing and get all of the advice that you can from them. Take notes of how exactly they do their shopping. Where they get their coupons, how they look for deals in papers and online. How they get their whole family involved. How they stock their product and how they date rotate their product to ensure that nothing expires. These are all very important factors that can lead to your success in becoming a stay at home mom. With the growth of my online business I am able to stay at home and raise my little ones as well as do couponing on the side. So, our grocery bill isn’t what it used to be. It is fairly easy it just takes some getting used to.  If I can do it you can do it.
